Privacy Policy
Who we are. The Kernel Patch is a service of kp Ramsdale LLC, providing small-business tech support. This policy covers thekernelpatch.com and the Microsoft 365 tenant we use with clients.
What we collect
• Site visitors: standard web traffic information (pages viewed, browser type, approximate location from IP address) for analytics.
• Contact form submissions: whatever you type in — typically your name, email address, and a message describing what you need help with.
• Sign-in through Google or Microsoft: if you sign in to our Microsoft 365 tenant using your Google account (or a Microsoft account), we receive your name and email address from Google or Microsoft so we can recognize you in that tenant. We do not receive your Google or Microsoft password, and we do not read your Gmail, Google Drive, or other Google account content.
How we use it
We use this information to respond to your inquiries, provide the tech support or training services you've asked for, and manage access to shared or client resources in Microsoft 365. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.
Third-party services we rely on
• Google Workspace — for email, calendar, and file storage.
• Microsoft 365 — for the tenant used in client-facing information, training, and any Microsoft-based work we do for clients.
These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data on their platforms.
How long we keep it
We keep contact-form and client information for as long as needed to provide services and for reasonable recordkeeping afterward, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Contact, below).
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on the built-in security of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 rather than storing sensitive data in additional places.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for business owners and their staff, not children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

By using thekernelpatch.com or engaging kp Ramsdale LLC ("The Kernel Patch") for tech support or other services, you agree to these terms.
Our services
The Kernel Patch provides small-business technology support: troubleshooting, setup, training, and related consulting. Specific scope, deliverables, and pricing for any engagement are agreed separately with you — this page covers general use of our site and services, not a specific contract.
Acceptable use
Use our site and any shared systems only for their intended purpose — learning about and evaluating the tools we support. Don't use them to attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, or interfere with other users.
No warranty
We do our best work, but we don't guarantee that our advice, training, or support will be error-free or fix every problem. Software and services we help you set up or use (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and others) are provided by their own companies under their own terms; we aren't responsible for their outages, bugs, or policy changes.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, kp Ramsdale LLC's liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in question. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost profits or lost data, arising from our services.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington.

We may update these terms as our services evolve; the date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
